I think Jesus would drink beer and watch The Daily Show with me. But I'm a Socialist and everybody knows how much we hate God...

Actually you might be surprised.
I have read a lot of books about Near Death Experiences, where people are revived after dying (usually in the middle of surgery),and have the experience of going to the Afterlife (for a short time).
A number of folks who assert they met the Creator or the Christ, say they are surprised to find that they have a sense of humor.
I do not have a specific example at hand (and it doesn't mean that they are stand-up comics), but if you check out some of the NDE accounts, you will see this is true.
Now, whether you take these experiences on their face value or not is up to you.
I happen to do so.

God must have a sense of humor, how else would you explain, the giraffe, the laugh of a hyena, a playful kitten, a dog romping with a boy, the colorful rainbow, the personality of a parrot, a dolphin.........need I go on?

My daughter thinks that God has an offbeat, wondrous sense of humor. I am a little more skeptical.
