One does not use approximate sign in a paragraph without the space after the last consonant, it is badly punctuated, and you have yet to end the paragraph with a period.

You put one gallon from the 3 gallons to the 5 gallon and it will be 6 gallon and 2 gallon left so you subtract 2 from 6 and you get 4 gallons.
