My cat doesn't want to clean her self which cause her to not shed. I try to brush he to get hair out but it doesn't come out. Now she has a bunch of hair clumps. I try even picking at these clumps but I know it won't do any thing any suggestions?

First, if she won't let you cut the clumps out, take her to a groomer so you have a fresh start. These clumps or mats can cause irritation on her skin and they're very uncomfortable because they'll pull on the other hairs around the clump.
After you get her fur back in shape, start with a regular brushing every couple of days. Try different types of brushes. There are wire ones, rubber ones, bristles, etc. Some cats love to be brushed, but others you have to train. Start with one good brushing all over and work up to longer sessions.
If you don't groom your cat and get the excess hair off of her, she could be more prone to get hairballs, which is bad for her overall health. Take your time and have patience with her. She's worth it. Good luck!

I would be inclined to start with a groomer and get some professional tips on how to prevent future matting.
Do not bathe your cat!! Doing that will only make the mats worse. Mats first, then bath.
Scissors are so dangerous with a cat. Cats have extremely thin skin. She isn't going to cooperate with you on the mat removal and a wiggly cat and a pair of scissors can be a disastrous combination. At the very least get the bandage scissors medical professionals use which have blunted ends. Even so, you can still cut the skin and cause infection and bleeding.

you have two choices; take her to be groomed or give her a bath and brush the clumps out- this might take some time and cannot be done in one sitting some cats find it extremely uncomfortable some will enjoy it. I had two cats like that once I had the brush them all the time.

When my cat go old, she didn't have the flexibility to clean herself. She ended up with a ton of hairballs. Don't try to brush the clumps. All that does is pull on her skin and irritate it. We would periodically cut the hairballs off at the base. You have to do this very, VERY carefully so that you don't cut her skin. I used to slip a pair of scissors above her skin between pieces of fur so that I knew I wouldn't hurt her. Good luck!

All animals shed-as you and I. Shedding is a natural means of growing out more hair, and seeing as they have alot-lol they will shed. Most animals are yearly shedders as well-with the exception of huskys and a few other that are bi-yearly shedders. This also helps promote healthy oil release of the skin. This helps condition the fur to emilinate human bathing desires. Most animals are self kept frequent bathing can irritate them and cause skin disorders.

It's all merely a matter of personal preference. I actually have short hair and guys such as it. And i prefer a man with short hair over a person with long hair because long hair tends to make guys look too girly.

You might have to take her to a groomer periodically to ensure that she's well kempt. Some cats just won't shed as much and if they have long furr it can get clumpy and knotted. And I'm sure she'd enjoy a little pampering.

Give her a bath... then brush. She may have some knots if her hair is long enough.
All animals shed.

long haired cats often lose their fur in clumps. Not a big deal.

I have short tresses for the first time since I was 10 years old and I actually really like it but I overlook my long curly locks so I am growing it back out!
