For a belief system that largely portrays women as subservient and inferior to men, why are women brainwash victims more hard line "defender of the faith".
The obvious explanations point to low self esteem or self worth, I would say lack of intelligence, but overall I think women are more intelligent than men. It could be however that by its very nature the Christ Cult attracts un or undereducated women.
I also must consider the fact that since women are the ones who experience the reproduction process more than men, that this too influences some of the religious leanings. Men can only imagine what it must be like to carry and birth a child and never know the biological connection women experience.
But more to the point, women Christ cultists seem to more rabidly defend their faith more than men...why is this?

Well, I think it is simple.
Straight women can love a man called "Jesus" much more easily than straight men can.
If "Jesus" was a female - let's call her "Jesulita" - there would be much more men adoring "Jesulita" than women.

Well, according to answersingenesis.com, 'a review of the most prominent late 19th century writings by biologists focusing on Charles Darwin reveals that a major plank of evolution theory was the belief that women were intellectually and physically inferior to men.......males evolved more than females'.
So there you go. We are less evolved and therefore more likely to believe in a god. Lol.
I'm not sure if women are more defensive of their faith. Maybe it's for the same reason that so many anti-abortionists seem to be men. My initial reaction is to say that because women are, and have been, treated less equally than men (now and throughout the centuries) that maybe religion became a way of validating or empowering them? Whilst the bible might not be a shining endorsement of women's rights, inclusion in a religion might fill whatever they feel is missing in their life.

I THINK THERE ARE A LOT OF MEN WHO ARE THE SAME WAY BUT I ALSO THINK THERE ARE A LOT OF WOMEN WHO JUST LIKE TO BE BITCHES. NOT ALL WOMEN ARE LIKE THAT BUT ENOUGH ARE. THEY DON'T ALWAYS PRACTICE WHAT THEY PREACH AND LIKE TO JUDGE PEOPLE WHICH MAKES THEM FEEL BETTER ABOUT THEMSELVES. MEN LIKE TO HAVE THE UPPER HAND AND BE IN CHARGE. I HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME THING EVEN IN WHAT YOU WOULD CALL NORMAL RELIGIONS.
MY RELIGION IS VERY MUCH LIKE THAT AND UNTIL I GOT A BRAIN I REALLY BELEIVED MEN WERE THE HEROES! WHICH REALLY GAGS ME NOW! WHEN YOU'RE A FEMALE BRAINWASH VICTIM YOU ACTUALLY BELEIVE WHAT YOU ARE TAUGHT BECAUSE MANY WOMEN ARE 'WASHED' AT A VERY EARLY AGE TO BELEIVE JUST THAT. I ALSO THINK WOMEN AREN'T WILLING TO ADMIT THEY ARE WRONG SO WHEN THEY REALIZE THEY ARE THEY WILL DEFEND THEMSELVES IN SPITE OF IT.
THE INTELLIGENCE FACTOR IS ANOTHER. ANY ONE WITH A LITTLE BRAIN MATTER WOULD RUN SCREAMING FROM RADICAL BELIEFS LIKE THAT BUT FOR SOME REASON RELIGION MAKES A LOT OF OPINIONATED, MISGUIDED AND UNEDUCATED PEOPLE DO COMPLETELY IGNORANT THINGS THEY MIGHT NOT USUALLY DO. THAT 'HOLIER THAN THOU' ATTITUDE GIVES MEN AND WOMEN LICENSE TO JUDGE AND CONDEMN PEOPLE FOR ANY LITTLE THING THEY DON'T APPROVE OF. THEY THINK THEY'RE 'RELIGIOUS' WHILE OTHERS ARE SUPPOSEDLY NOT THEREFORE THEY FEEL THEY HAVE THE GOD GIVEN RIGHT TO DO SO. THEN THEY GET BENT UP ABOUT BEING CALLED BIBLE BANGERS.
WHEN IT BECOMES A PUBLIC ISSUE MAYBE THEY JUST ENJOY BEING THE BAD GIRLS!
NOT EVERY WOMAN IS LIKE THAT BUT A LOT ARE. AND SO ARE A LOT OF MEN!

It's because not only are we women more intelligent than men, but like you said, we've given birth, so are more prone to believe in miracles, since we've experienced miracles. Historically, it's been men who fight the battles, but in this time in history, we can fight back with words, with common sense, and with compassion. Women will fight for what we believe in, just as strongly as men, but with that common sense element men seem so prone to ignore. We are not uneducated and we do not lack self-esteem, we are passionate about what we believe in.
Tumadre, "staying home with the kids, being taken care of by a real man"??? Are you for real? The very concept of spending 24 hours a day with my kids would drive me totally insane. I work not only for financial security, but for my sanity. God bless you if you haven't gone crazy yet.

Because we are more emotionally driven. true Christian men will defend their faith just as readilly as we do. btw it's becuase we like staying home with the kids and being taken care of by a real man that supports his family.
