I do not believe Islam is demonic, but may best be described (at least, as witnessed in practice around the world on the nightly news) a violent and militant religion with little regard for the value of human life or creature comforts, advancement in science or literature. For those that compare the Islamic movement today to the Christian crusades of the Middle ages( a very different era, marked by violence and blood shed by the Muslim community then as well) , might be best served to recognize that Christians of today do not practice or condone and certainly do not preach violence against their neighbors, and have not for several centuries. America has welcomed with open arms, immigrants of every creed despite the fact that America was founded by Christians. Demonic no, misguided YES

Most people have the wrong facts about other religions, ones beside their own. I would say he's probably a bigot, but then again I don't know much about Islam. I have an Islamic who is very involved at school, gets good grades, is very nice and thoughtful towards others. She hates it when people fight over nothing. Not all people are the same. If you hear the word extremist, of course it can't be good. I don't think there's such a thing as Satanic; Satanists don't even believe in Satan.

Misguided Bigot.
All religions except maybe the really old ones, not to mention specific ones to avoid insulting anyone, preach some type of peace, and harmony. Most Muslims believe that Islam also emphasises compassion as well as the pursuit of justice, equality, and knowledge are important, like belief in Allah, the Qur'an, etc. Islamic texts depict Judaism and Christianity as prophetic successor traditions to the teachings of Abraham, but that the meanings and composition of words and phrases have been distorted.
Muslims also believe in jihad, just not the way that Americans interpret it. They believe in a spiritual struggle with ones concience, so as to not stray from their beliefs.
The five pillars of Islam also are:
The Testimony of Faith (Shahadah) - the declaration that there is none worthy of worship except Allah (Arabic:God) and that Muhammad(PBUH)is His messenger.
Prayer (Salat) - establishing of the five daily Prayers.
The paying of poor-due (Zakat) - which is generally 2.5% of the total savings for a rich man working in trade or industry, and 10% or 20% of the annual produce for agriculturists. This money or produce is distributed among the poor.
Fasting (Sawm) - refraining from eating, drinking or engaging in sexual intercourse from dawn to sunset during the month of Ramadan, the ninth month in the Islamic lunar calendar.
The Pilgrimage to Mecca (Hajj) - this is done during the month of Zul Hijjah, and is compulsory once in a lifetime for one who has the ability to do it. If the Muslim is in ill health or in debt, he or she is not required to perform Hajj.
I dont see anything satanic or demonic or warring with the beliefs of Islam.
Of course, due to the extremist Muslims, who are attacking people, especially Americans, the image of Islam has been tainted. All religions, though at base peaceful, can sometimes be misinterpreted in a way that provokes violence. When people are level-headed, they won't interpret the verses of any religion as go and kill everyone, but there are always radicals who interpret it into there is only one right answer and the others must die. We can recall the terrors of the Catholic church during the crusades and the inquisition. The problem is that people were interpreting the texts of the Bible as a way of saying that they should go and kill all nonbelievers, just as is happening now with Al Qaeda. There are extremists in all religions, and there always will be. We must not let these extremists be the people we base our ideas on, however.

Well, considering that radical means not the original thing, I'd say that "radical Muslims" aren't real Muslims. Real Muslims are peaceful. You should look up the religion one day. Not on the Internet, get a book from the library or something.

I guess you will have an answer when Islam becomes the controlling force on the planet, and the way they are growing you might not have long to wait, so you might want to get ready to convert because when they reach that point they will give you two choices convert or die that simple. So are they peace full "NOT" are they demonic who knows you decide.

Islam, like Christianity and most religions, is only as demonic or peaceful as those who interpret it. Christianity demonstrated that it is capable of both horrible acts of violence (The Crusades, Inquistion, witch trials) and incredible acts of benevolence. The same holds true of Islam - when led by someone understanding and tolerant, like Saladin, Islam is a peaceful, and when led by someone like Osama bin Laden, Islam can be violent and intolerant. Pat Robertson is merely another example of this, as he preaches an intolerant version of Christianity and even espouses violence, which makes certain sects of Christianity as intolerant as the Islamic fundamentalists he hates.

Libral Islam= peacefull minority
Original Radical Isalm= aggressive majority
you see for yourself....
"Fight and saly the pagans( Christians, Jews, Non-Muslims) wherever you find them, and sieze them, beleagur them, and lie in wait for them in every strategem( of war )."- Surah 9:5, the Qur'an...[Islamic bible]
Facts... that is one of but many verses of the same teaching
I do not hate Muslims... but I just quoted one of many aggressive verses of the Qur'an...
I do not think that original Islam is a religion of peace- it is of voilence and war...
but the sect of Libral Islam is peacefull they ignore violence taught in their Qur'an... they should not be steriotyped or hated... that is unfair...
either way I am not and never will become a Muslim..
God bless...
and understanding Christian
