No religion is the correct one, and all religions have got it wrong.

There are many major religions in the world, such as Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Judaism, and so on. Within each major religion there can also be many minor religions. For example, within Christianity there is Catholic, Protestant, Anglican and so on. Within Islam there is Shiite, Sunni etc.

In summary there are many hundreds of different religions in the world all with their devoted believers and followers. Talk to any devout religious person and they will almost emphatically insist that their religion is the right one, it’s fact, and any non-believer is doomed.

Commonsense and logic would suggest that if there was any truthful or factual basis to religion, then only one of these religions could be correct, not all of them. However, in my view, it’s highly unlikely that any of these man-made religions bear any resemblance to fact or the truth, and are more likely to be the result of simplistic human intelligence looking for an escape from reality.

The Bible is really just a fake story, perhaps a bit like the Loch Ness monster tales.

When we pass on information to another (example: story, joke, description of something etc) by the time these details are passed on by word of mouth, interpreted by others, and then written down, the final details are typically quite different than the original information.

Since the Bible is just a man-made story passed down over many years in various forms, the chance of it being accurate in any shape or form is remote.

There are people who swear blind that the Loch Ness monster exists regardless of all the evidence to the contrary, but a fence post bobbing up and down in the Loch does the trick. Similarly there are people who swear blind that God exists and the Bible is fact, yet there isn’t one blind bit of evidence to support such theories.

Biblical tales are really no different than Loch Ness monster tales, just the era is different.

For one thing, the church, not the Bible, is the primary faith authority.

And among all the different versions of the Bible, most of them agree on about 98 percent of what's written in there.

Anybody with half a brain can learn exactly what each of the different versions does differently, so that's not a real big problem.

In the end, God let's us have pretty much what we deserve.

There are several translations based on different manuscripts. The KJV is translated from the earliest manuscripts, while the NAS and NIV are translated from later or other manuscripts. The newer versions are basically dumbed down Bibles and not worth reading. The older Bibles contain basically the same message, they do not contradict each other on the main doctrines, just different words are used depending on the source of translation.

Good question!! (Jer 8:8 Here God confronts something similar to your question) But, to answer your question: the differences are simply vernacular. Yes, God has preserved the bible thousands of years just for you and me.... thats one of the reasons I believe....and to think, no one has offered enough proof against the bible in those years to bring the teaching of Jesus's words to a halt. Amazing!
