drinking very warm water with lemon juice is a good way to ward off hunger. you should also try upping your fiber. try eating high fiber cereals or fiber supplements that come in powdered forms that you can add to water and drink. this will make you feel full and help your system run regularly and aid in weight loss. if you can afford to see a hypnotist, there are many that can embed suggestions and make it easier to resist temptation. hang in there, you can do this!

When you're about to go berserk with the food, stop first... if only for two seconds and ask yourself this question: "What is more important to me, my life, or this food?". If you choose life, then walk away from the food, or even better go for a nice long walk.

It may seem silly to mention Jared, but I will. The Subway rep who lost weight by eating subs also had a problem with self control. The way he was able to lose weight was by not having food in the house. That's why he ate out at Subway.

If you really can't resist the food, then try not to keep any extra around.

Developing hobbies or volunteering are other great ways to keep you preoccupied. If you're distracted and busy, you're less likely to live to eat, rather than just eat to live.

Unfortunately, dealing with a food disorder is extremely difficult. If you were to quit smoking or drinking alcohol, you could just abstain. But when it comes to food, you can't do that. You HAVE to eat... it's like an alcoholic trying to drink just a little bit of alcohol and no more. You have to struggle with just eating a little food and not lose control. It will be a battle for you, but one you must face.

You can't take things to make you turn away from food because food is something your body needs. Proper nutrition is important... make sure you get the right things in your diet or your body will still crave food when full because you are missing important nutrients. Your body will want to fill those needs... no empty calories! Just nutrient dense foods and your body will be more satisfied and you will reap the rewards of increased energy!

Best of luck.

I understand you complusion to eat whenever you see food. I have suffered from this most of my life. Starting from the time I was 10 - until the present. Fortunately, I started therapy several years ago and I can be around food now without feeling compelled to just eat and eat. We need to eat to live, so coming to terms with what makes you feel the need to eat is a very important issue. If you can go to overeaters anonymous or get some counseling, because getting to the bottom of what is making you feel so drawn by food is the true issue not the food. I know for me, I was using food to drown my feelings. Any feelings, it didn't matter, happy, sad, bored, whatever... I just ate. Now, I am expressing myself and letting my thoughts and feelings be heard and acknowledged. This has taken the power away from food. I had stuffed down all these feelings about being sexually molested when I was young.. Today, I find it hard to find the feeling of anger . So, if you want to truly find a way to deal with food seek out help and support to find out what is pushing you inside to eat, we think it is the food, but truly it may be just a distraction from what is really bothering you. Good luck.

You should go on a fast and train your mind and body how to resist food. Don't eat if your not hungry, chew gum instead!! There are shakes you can drink to take place of a meal also. Keep your food hidden. When you must eat, eat a healthy snack like carrots, raisins, nuts, etc. Remeber: Its mind over matter Good luck!!

Consult a doctor. Enlist a friend's or family member's help, or preferably many friends or family members. Ask them to help you by doing grocery shopping for you and only buying healthy foods. Maybe you could have somebody stay with you to make sure you don't overeat. It will not be fun for all involved, but they must understand that it is a matter of life or death.

Best of luck.

Perhaps this article about childhood obesity will help you deal with your problem:
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2006/08/060811192215.htm

According to latest scientific research, obesity is usually the result of eating foods high in fructose (a common additive in processed foods, also referred to as corn syrup) and low in fiber.

Such a diet disrupts hormonal balance of insulin and leptin in the body and causes an inappropriate increase in appetite.

If you want to loose weight, then change the kind of food you eat. Avoid all artificial sweets and sweetened (even diet) soft drinks. And avoid processed foods low in fiber. Eat as much as you want unsweetened milk products, fish, whole wheat bread, salads with olive oil, cooked vegetables, and fresh fruits.

Even if you eat as much as you want and don't exercise much, you will still loose weight and become more healthy simply by changing the kind of food you eat.

It's not just a matter of restricting your calories and exercising regularly. The kind of food you choose to eat is perhaps more important than anything else in maintaining a healthy body weight.

Do you have something to do? Like working outside, or a job? It sounds like you need something to occupy yourself! Do something besides sitting around looking at food! Get busy! Food can be an addiction replacing a multiple of things, so get to work on those other things!

water dont really work, it just makes your tummy bigger and if you stop drinking water you can intake more food. for your sugar, try splenda..,0 calories, for a pill try using xenical, and a better idea try eating oatmeal, and a hell lot of fruits and vegetables. and as much as you can order or cook steamed foods. steaming has the advantage of not using oil. : ) dont eat too much carbs, stay away from potatoes and rice.

Talk to your doctor. they can give you weight control pills. Those curve your appetite an give you more energy to do more than sit down. Get a family member and have them in your house while you are there to monitor what and how much you are eating.
