If in a city where the majority are of mexican decent would a buissness man hire a customer service person who could speak spanish being as most of there profits come from the latino comunnity..Or should he hire a cattle thumper who cant speak or even attempt to speak spanish and lose out on sales..

I agree! Not with the term "cattle thumper", but with the idea behind your question. It just makes sense for them to hire someone who is bilingual. How are they going to communicate with potential customers otherwise? And the people that have taken the time and effort to learn that other language deserve the extra money that they will earn an hour. So like all those racists say "you should learn English", well you should learn an additional language. It doesnt mean you will.
