I mean, people are wearing clothes with marijuana leaves on them and it seems like everyone is smoking it? do they not know that it's bad for them? God bless u all.

actually, drug use has been around a long time. you should really read some stuff on drug culture, its amazing how much you learn about the american culture that way. its more like drugs come in waves, you had the period of Opium in the 1890s, MDMA (ecstasy) in the 30s- they actually thought it was good for an antidepressant, LSD in the 70s, Cocaine in the 80s, now its pot and unfortunately the lab created stuff. there is a series on VH1 i think, called the drug years. it goes decade by decade of what was being used and how it effected the cultures. its really amazing how its really just a big cycle. and yes, people who use drugs know the effects of them (for the most part) but they choose to ignore it. same as smokers and drinkers. people will always do drugs as it is always a rebellion against the government and usually a rebellion against the former generation and their rules as well.

Why do you think that 'all of a sudden' people are doing drugs more than ever? And not everyone is 'smoking it'. I'm not, and I'll bet you're not. Course, there's a probability that Bush is on wacky tobacky - but we can't prove that.
I think most people who do drugs are aware that it's bad for them but they like the high. And then they can't quit.

people drink and do drugs to change the way they feel rather than learn to deal with their feelings.it's easier to take a pill than search out the roots of anger or fear or even joy.the consequences are,you keep picking the "easy way" and stop maturing any further emotionaly.you'll end up a 40 year old undependable,irresponsible,spoiled brat.so don't do drugs mkay,drugs are bad mkay.

It is call addiction,and sometime they start to smoke very young and they hang out with gang.
Some people smoke marijuana for health purpose.

no, they know they've been lied to for far too long...
marijuana should never have been classified as an illegal drug....
marijuana does not rot your brain cells.....
marijuana does not give you lung cancer....
marijuana does not make people into crazy criminals
marijuana HELPS a lot of people who are suffering from debilitating illnesses who find no help with conventional medications....or cannot take them because of their horrible side-effects...

Because parents let them. It's rediculous. Things are so expensive now days that both parents have to work. With both parents working, the kids don't get any parenting, so then do and look like they want.

Because they seek happiness in things that are temporary and find out when they get up the next morning that things are worse. They don't know that the truth can only found in the one who died for them.

I dont think people do more durgs today than they used to. Think about the 60's, im sure people back then thought that by the year 2000 durg use would be the norm, but its not.
