First of all have a healthy body - eat right and drink lots of water. Hair typically grows about 1/2 inch per month, or 6 " per year. Sometimes if your body isn't getting the right nutrients it doesn't grow as quickly, so a supplement can definately help. Look for specific ones for hair and nails because they have special ingredients to enhance the keratin production (the protein that hair and nails ar made of). Do massage your scalp to stimulate growth, and get a trim about every 8 weeks of just 1/4 inch or so to keep the split ends away. Don't use a bristly brush on your hair when it's wet because it will cause breakage.

Try a natural vitamin called Biotin. It not only helps your hair grow a little bit faster and much halthier but it also helps with skin and nails.

Biotin in combination with castor oil. Works well. Bu beware Biotin makes ALL hair grow faster
