Will they let you be in the infantry if you need to wear glasses?

I wore glasses in the infantry for nine years. I was 20/500 - without glasses. If you can correct to 20/20 (or about that) you are in.

If you are serious about the infantry get the laser surgery as soon as you can. Glasses in the infantry is a big pain.

Yes I was in the Infantry for 26 years and wore glasses the entire time.

I think so. Anybody in the military who wears glasses is required to have a second pair.

yes they will....i know personally..My Fiance is in the Infantry and he has glasses.

Yes they will, provided your vision is not more than -7.50. You will be issued military glasses (free) during your training, after that, you can wear your own glasses or contacts.

Yes, they will issue you a think brimmed pair (commonly know as BC glasses, the BC= Birth Control, because they are very uinatractive.)

But they are indestrucable.

Depends on the problem but generally yes. That's what the BCG's are for.

yes. however you will have to get those prescription goggles instead of your normal glasses.
