There is a wonderful pub near the river where they are famous for real ales and live music and believe it is now called The Turf.
I went there about 18 years ago and the stupid boatman misjudged the tides and we got stranded on mud.

Ye Olde holiday To Jerusalem - in Nottingham. it incredibly is equipped into the fort partitions and you need to placed a lager mat over you pint, in any different case bits of the roof fall into it. it incredibly is meant to be the oldest pub interior the international too.

can walk to double locks, but also get a boat, but the main one is 'The Turf'..can not drive to it,so willl either need to go by boat, or can ride by bike as i have.. along the narrow path.. very nice ride
