if you have knots on your throat that you can feel by touching your neck, especially on the front under your jawline and on the back of your neck it may be swollen lymph nodes that should be evaluated along with your other symptoms by a medical professional, with that being said I think tonsilectomies are rarely performed today so you may be in luck

I had tonselitis/strep for about 6 months straight. That was when they finally decided to take them out. Prior to that I had strep or tonsilitis about 4 times a year.

You might just have a sore throat. If your tonsels get enlarged, they need to be taken out. Go see a doctor, and they can tell you what to do.

if you get tonsilitis for more than 15 times in a year, its better to take those out. but, not having tonsils can make heart problems occur in a higher percentage, because of the loss of protection. Tonsils act as a protection for more dreadful diseases and viruses that may go in a body. not unless you eat healthy, and keep fit after taking off the tonsils. :)

An interview I purely watched on television with united kingdom comedian Ross Noble... i can't keep in mind the final time I laughed so no longer common....relatively between the funniest and maximum unique adult males I even have ever watched.... he's excellent and bushy too! your tonsils get pitted and the holes fill with pus. If this keeps happening you should see a doctor. in the meantime, gargle with HOT salt water.

they don't take tonsils out much anymore, they'll usually just give you antibiotics, go see your doctor if your sore throat doesn't get better on its own

constant sore throats... but that could be many reasons also is it too cold when you sleep!!!!
