Sometimes a year's subscription to a good magazine is a thoughtful gift. If she's got a special interest, i.e. a hobby or activity, then there may be a magazine that's perfect for that, or if not, choose a good general magazine that you know she will enjoy.

Something fun and thoughtful - like tickets to a concert or favorite sports team. If your worried about making it seem likte a date, make sure it's a goup activity.
Gift certificate to a store she likes is also good or if short on cash, get her something that signifies an inside joke between the two of you.

I would do a gift card to her FAV store. If you want to make it more personal though, I would think of her fav. band or something that means a lot to her and buy something pertaining to it. Good luck!
