Will we now be profided with free meals again on Northwest or will they still be "purchase meals"???? Like for the long flights, and such...food for purchase??? That doesn't seem fair to me!! They should be free like they use to!!

Okay, first off food is NOT liquid, you are still allowed to bring food onto planes, and secondly, if you go on long flights and they don't give you food or drink, i suggest you fly through a different airline.

Northwest Airlines will not be giving any free meals. They will serve food and beverages at the rate they were before. I work for Northwest Airlines and I sweep the aircrafts, everything is the same. The only difference is what the TSA and the FAA has changed. Sorry but no free meals, and if you think about it, it is fair because why should the airline lose thousands of dollars for something they had no control over. The Airline is a carrier at the airport, they dont make the rules. Sorry about that. Hava nice day.

Well, I don't know about the specifics, but I think they still serve complimentary drinks on planes...probably meals for longer flights.

Nothing is FREE. The cost will be included in the price of your ticket. So when they serve you that crappy "free" food and you don't eat it because it tastes like garbage, you still have to pay for it. At least this way, you don't have to pay for it if you don't like it.

no such thing as free but yes i think they should be in with the ticket price - you can't buy elsewhere in the air

Would you rather die midair or just starve for a couple hours knowing that you will get food?
