I recently came into posession of a 58 Mercedes - Benz 220S. It is in perfect condition and has low miles. I dont need it. Now I don't know too much about these types of older cars so I'm not sure if there is a market for this car and if so what is its value and how do I go about selling it. Any help would be much appreciated. Joe

There are several online car markets which specialized in 'vintage' automobiles...I'm quite sure you have a good one! If you feel adventurous, try eBay Automobiles and auction it. If not, you could try Vintage Auto (see link below). I also found a Mercedes Pontons website, which lists cars for sale...one guy is offering his 1958 car for $15,750...with twice the mileage as yours!

Good luck...be sure to get it appraised before you put it up for sale anywhere!

The car has some collector value because of it's age and condition. I have a 53 300S Sedan and it is appraised at 35k but primarily because it was owned by Wild Bill Hickok. However I have a 67 220D and it doesn't have any value at all.
You can look in Hemmings Auto news and get an idea of what they are selling for. My ball park guess would be 5-6 k.

If you dont need the car, thats too bad, its just lovely!Car collectors for Vintage Cars is in great demand you might want to contact Barrat Jackson in Arizona, they auction cars only the BEST! They specialize in Rare Cars. Their Auctions are held two or three times a year, in the US. One is in Scottsdale, Arizone, and the other is in Florida.
I hope this helps you, Good Luck!
