I would put the timer at 20 and then stick a toothpick in it. If it doesn't come out clean, put it in for a few more mintues. It's better than burning it.

No. You can't cut the time in half. True, you have reduced the volume, but the ingredients still take approximately the same time to bake. If you only put 6 cookies on a sheet pan in stead of twelve it still take 15 minutes. Set your time for 25-30 minutes and check cake by inserting a toothpick in center. If it pulls out clean, it's done. If not check every 5 minute until it does.

Depends. Usually all cakes take about 20-28 minutes. I would do the toothpick test after 20 to see and if its still not done try about 5 more minutes.

Just because you reduce or half the receipe doesnt always mean you get a break on the cooking time.

Good Luck.

About 20, just check it every now and then. It's done when the center of the cake is not raw in the middle. Take a toothpick or fork and place it in the center of the cake when it looks like its done. It should have no wet batter on the toothpick or fork when it's done.

I would check it in 20. If you can insert a toothpick in the center and it comes out clean, then you will know for sure that it is done. However if you see smoke, that was a little too long. Hope I've been helpful.

Not necessarily. I would do it for 20 and then check it by inserting a toothpick in the middle. Let it go a few more minutes, check again, etc etc.

It will take half the time, so say 20 mins.

no, but check it after 20 minutes. it depends on the type of cooking vessel, and how much batter it holds.
