Do you get headaches or migraines? If you are prone to get migraines, then almonds may be a trigger food.

You're probably allergic. You probably shouldn't eat anymore unless you take an allergy medicine first. You may want to be careful with that though because allergies can start off minor and become more severe. It may just cause a headache now but it may turn into something worse (like you're throat swelling so you can't breathe).

It is most likely an allergic reaction. Many people get headaches and other forms of reactions after eating nuts. For example, my sisters taste buds will swell up if she eats raw walnuts, but if they are fully cooked, she does not have a reaction.

Yes of course you can eat them raw. I sometimes put them in salt water and then toast in a pan, or just roast plain without anything. I eat at least 5 per day. It is easier not to eat too much when they are raw than when they are toasted.

Try cracking them BEFORE you put them in your mouth.
