Since the word 'perversion' means 'turned away from' and the main function of sex is procreation (pleasure being only a secondary function), it is strictly correct to call homosexuality a perversion of the main function of sex.

Unfortunately, the words 'perversion', and 'perverted' have been saddled with negative connotations, so I am reluctant to answer your question in the affirmative. I could only say that gay sex was perverted in the modern sense of the word, if it sought to pervert the mind and I think that, in the vast majority of cases, it does not and performs the same function of an expression of love between two humans as does sex between a male and a female.

zorro,
Let's ask Mr. Dictionary!
1. Deviating from what is considered right and correct: a perverted idea of justice.
2. Of, relating to, or practicing sexual perversion.
3. Marked by misinterpretation or distortion: a perverted translation of an epic poem.

I guess that you might have to choose a meaning. They all don't mean the same thing, and then there are calls of judgement on all of them.

I guess that means that it is up to you.

In the Bible, the subjective opinion is supposed to be God's. So according to Him, or those that were 'inspired' by Him, He thinkings it's pretty bad.

But hey, we all are 'bad.' So Homosexuality is another bad. Jesus died for the bad. So the question is valid that you hav asked. I suppose like all the other bad things that people can do, the message to the Christian is to not become a slave to it. and that doesn't mean that you are not saved either. It just means hat you have found a way to truncate your service to God because you are now called to romp with those the same sex with you.

God wants faith. If you trust Him and are saved, you have an advocate with the Father. Your sins are covered.

So sin is defeated by the grace of God. His Spirit might change you too. So if things are becoming difficult for you, it might just be God kicking your butt! He will chasten those He loves. He does it to me all the time.

There are those who are going to say yes, they are! And there will be those who say no, they aren't. Personally, I don't consider homosexuality a perversion. I believe that each individual has the right to be who they are, as long as they aren't hurting anyone else! I also believe that, as far as God and the church are concerned, that a person's sexual orientation and whom they love is between them and God. Noone has the right to judge anyone else, although there are plenty of people who do and say they are justified to, it is for God to decide what is right and what is wrong and who will or will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven!

Biblical (and my answer for such) yes. Leviticus 18:22 calls it an abomination. Most say that there are 10 commandments. This is true but that is not all of the law given to God's chosen people. There were 613 different laws given to safegard their blood lines, health, and to provide for their protection and such. The scripture states "Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind: it is an abomination" KJV Lev 18:22

Only according to the very prudish and stupid rules set up by some santimonious jerk, who hates sex in all forms, to begin with.

A free sexual act between consenting adults who are there because they want to CANNOT possibly be wrong in any way. Nobody's being hurt. Nobody's being affected and some people are having fun. What else can you want?

BTW, no. I'm not gay. Only that straight is not a synonym of homophobic.

Yes, homosexual acts are very unnatural and perverted. Heterosexual marriages are not perverted but outside the marriage and premartial sex is.

No more perverted than any other type of sex. As long as there is love and commitment, who cares?

Varies depending on who you ask. My opinion? nah, people just add their own perverse way of thinking into what they think perversion is and normality. There shouldn't be double standards placed there by the sex of the participants
