Hi
Here is something I was thinking about. My gf mentioned that she would like to have an engagement ring that her wedding band could go with.
I was thinking about this

Thanks. I'm not so worried that she won't like it but was just wondering what some of you thought.

Thanks again. We have a lot going on right now, so when it settles down we will go out and start looking together. Atleast I can look online and get some ideas based on what she has told me she would like.

It's a lovely ring. However, price wise, do what you can afford. Don't go into debt now when for your 10th 25th or 50th anniversary you can always upgrade.
People are so money conscious when an engagement ring is something that should come from the heart. It's not how much you spend but the love and thought that goes into it.
A marriage is made of love to last forever not the ring.

What she means is a engagement / wedding band set. The engament ring snaps in place with the wedding band making it one ring.
Not the one that it's displayed (al thought beautiful) is not what she wants. This is what she wants:
http://www.bluenile.com/product_details.asp?oid=4784&page=1&filter_id=1&col=2&row=2&pos=5&set_shape=
or browse thu the other syles ( go down the page)

If it was me, I would do with a Princess cut. Love the the white gold or titanium. and a matching set will guarantee that the rings match in color and style. This is a smart decision that you will not regret.
I'm sure that whatever it is she wil love it.
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm soooo envious!

Even thought it's nice to have them match as so many people do sometimes it just nice to wear the wedding band and then it looks terrible. So, it's really nice now, it's something you may think about later too.

Price wise you should start around the amount of money you make in a month, that's what I did.

Price should always be something you can afford, usually a month's salary. It should be something she likes and that you pick out together.

It's a pretty ring....but very, very simple and small. If your girlfriend likes that, go for it.
