No, rabies is a disease that is transmitted through bodily fluids.
They would have to get bit by a rabid animal to catch it.
While i guess it would be possible for a mother to transmit it to the fetus, it is highly unlikely, as the animal would probably die before giving birth, or if it did give birth, the mother would kill the pups almost instantly. Rabies makes animals insame and HIGHLY agressive. The mother would kill the you, just because they were there.

No, Rabies is a virus some animals get by being bite by another animal. Bats carry it mostly. A vaccine can prevent the rabies virus, but the dog has to have the vaccine before getting rabies..

No; that's almost impossible. Rabies is a fast-acting disease that destroys the victim's brain. It is spread through saliva and it kills the victim in, at most, three days. A pregnant dog would die before it could give birth to any puppies and if it contracted rabies as it gave birth then it would most likely kill it's puppies (seeing how it would not recognize them because it's brain is being destroyed). I hope this helps.

Afraid Not... Dogs or other animals contract Rabies from other previously infected animals...by a bite or cut where saliva can enter... So dogs or pups are not born with this...even if the pregnant mother is infected.
