Tidy Cats scoopable...but you HAVE to clean it out at least every other day with the pooper-scooper!

The best litter is the least expensive one that your cats will use. I have been told that cats don't like heavily scented litters (I'm allergic to perfumes so I buy the lightest sent for myself anyhow) That might be one guide.

I tried the crystal type for a while, they really kept the odor down in the apartment but had two drawbacks. First if it tracks the little crystals hurt your feet. Second for some reason the air doesn't smell but all three of our cats feet smelled like a litter box. If they smell funky they must be funky so we switched to Target's store brand clumping type. So far with daily cleaning it works great for 1/3 the price and no stinky feet!

In the past I have used the newspaper and pine nugget types. They are fine if you can get a steady supply and have room to store the big bags. It basically comes down to what your little guys like and how much room you have to store it when "your brand" goes on sale.

Litter boxes, I am a big believer in lids or domes, they really keep odor and tracking down! Replace the boxes yearly it isn't just the litter that starts to smell, it's the boxes too. Also keep a small broom and dust pan right next to the litter box if you share a bathroom with your cats. That keeps odor and tracking down too, it is easier to sweep up often if everything is right there!

Shredded newspaper. Seriously. It is essentially free, helps to recycle/reuse newspapers (or other shredded paper), and it is the most sanitary of all the commercial brands. You see, with those, you scoop away the clumps, but leave the germs and bacteria until the next time you change the whole thing. With shredded newspaper, you have to change the whole thing everyday, but it is so cost-saving, lightweight (you're not hefting heavy litter bags), and causes minimal mess. My cats have always used the shreaddings happily! Just invest in a paper shredder if you don't already have one.

Personally, I've tried several and the one that works the best for me is Arm & Hammer Multiple Cat formula. Takes the smell out of the house and you can't really tell we have cats. Other litters did NOT do that for me.

$359? Are you kidding? For that form of money you need to hire a maid to come again each and daily and sparkling the cat pan! i've got heard numerous individuals say those pans the two destroy straight away, scare their cats or poop gets caught on the scooping mechanism and it incredibly is real chore to scrub. what type of muddle are you utilising, how many cats do you have and how many muddle bins? a million-2 cats you could only one pan, 3 cats, upload a 2nd and four cats, you need to have 3-4 pans. wood range pellets is via far the superb muddle to apply for cats. It completely absorbs the urine smell and the pan dumps out dry. provided that no longer something takes away poop smell only scoop the poop each and daily. you will discover wood range pellets at maximum Lowes and living house Dept shops and various grocery shops and that they only value approximately $4 for a 40 lb bag - so dumping out the pans weekly is a non-situation by way of fact it is so low priced!

World's Best Cat Litter. It's made from corn so it's healthier for kitty. It comes in regular or extra strength and is scoopable. I've used it successfully for years.

Just don't get clumping litter for kittens. It is not good for them if they accidentally eat some of it. If they do lick it off their paws, it goes into the stomach and hardens and they can't break it down.

I forgot what the brand is called, but it's labelled 'For Multiple Cats'. Neutralizes that foul stench that wafts from the litterbox on the slightest breeze.

I used to love arm & hammer scoopable....one of our cats was having issues with not using the litterbox and the vet stressed not using one with any scent...I switched to Tidy Cat scoopable. You really need to keep it clean or it will stink though.
