I renamed 2, Sony & Fuji, but when i went to use them again they were missing + the other 3 which i didn't rename were gone as well , can you give a 70 year old some simple help, Regards ojn

Hmm, I never tried renaming my memory card slots, but don't see how renaming them would cause them to 'disappear'.

Anyway, do they show up in Device Manager? *IF* they do you might try UNinstalling each slot reader and reboot your computer to see if Windows will 'find' them and reload the drivers for them.

u can buy from any online retailer or actual store a 9 in 1 or 12 in 1 card reader that will read all major cards. it should come with a USB cord that connects to ur computer and will allow u access to all data on the cards.

Go to device manager, Check under "view", show hidden devices. Best not to change things that work, and have anything to do with the proper operation of your computer.
