if you have a third degree burn you need to be sitting in the emergency room or waiting on an ambulance. a third degree burn is a full skin thickness burn. it burns through the layers of the skin. the area turns white and goes numb because of the cauterizing of the nerves. you would be in need of IV fluid replacement and observed for high risk of infection.

if you actually had a third degree burn, you wouldn't be posting online, you'd be in a burn center, or at the very least an emergency room
how else do i put this... people saying they've treated 3rd degree burns at home are idiots
you can DIE from a true third degree burn of even 5-10% of total body surface, amputations are common with them... come on people, actually know what you're talking about...

I have treated 1st and 2nd degree burns when it is a small area with aloe vera gel, 3rd degree I wouldnt attempt to treat it at home. I know someone who once had a 3rd degree cig burn and they did absolutely nothing and it healed and it was fine. So who knows? We are not doctors and cant see the wound.

Wow. first of all, in case you do no longer circulate to the accepted practitioner now with this "tiny little ingredient" you will in all probability be seeing him later for a greater intense situation - gangrene. you will desire to truthfully circulate to the accepted practitioner, he will in all probability provide you some antibiotics to dodge a bad an infection that would bring about amputation of the finger, Staph an infection or MRSA an infection (that's unquestionably undesirable and spreads througout the finished physique), etc. you need to make certain which you sparkling the wound thoroughaly, positioned triple antibiotic ointment on it, then conceal it with a breathable dressing alongside with gauze taped on the perimeters in hassle-free terms or an quite solid, outsized bandaid. be careful to no longer get it moist, shop it sparkling. Tempting because it must be to peek, leave it by myself and don't take the bandage off different than to alter it each and every 40 8 hours or if it gets moist/grimy. simply by nerve injury from a third degree burn, you will no longer sense soreness from an infection as you sometimes could. this is the frightening element of those kinds of "small burns." a speedy holiday to an pressing care medical institution may well be what saves your set off finger. what's your co-pay? $25? what's your set off finger nicely worth? Or what approximately 3 weeks off artwork while you're taken care of for a staph an infection? basically suck it up and circulate in for the antibiotics.

Go to a doctor. The only treatment is skin grafts if the burn is sizeable and to treat for infection as well as fluid loss.

The first aid treatment for this is to loosely wrap the burned area with gauze to stop infection. NO creams, oils, or gels unless they are specified for burns.
You may want to go to a doctor asap to see if they can maybe fix your nerves.

If it's really 3rd degree, there's NO WAY you should be trying to treat it yourself. Get to a hospital ASAP.

Was the burn on pourpose? (Branding?) If so, this wouldn't be the place to look for answers.
If not, go see a doctor, they can help minimize scaring and infection.

My brother had 3rd degree burn from a dirt bike and we treated him with silvadene cream which you would have to get a prescription from a doctor. use zeroform which is a 4x4 soaked Vaseline, and triple antibiotic ointment after they bust.
