Yes, Steven Wright tells this joke in his routine, pointing that out to the asker does not earn you best answer- play along!

rose bud- good answer but the pictures are duplicates too!
yanshan- if I install a video cam- they will take the original with them and the duplicate won't show them replacing everything- they will replace the cam last

I think, unless the original had some distinguishing marks like initials on the bottom or somethinglike that, you're out of luck.

But for the future, take poloroids or video of all the important/valuable things in your house. And if possible mark each valuable piece with a minor distinguishing characteristic that only you'd know to look for. Don't use initials, they're too obvious. But make sure your pics or video shows that distinguishing mark.
