If not, please tell me why people insist on stating that it doesn’t take faith to believe in the theory of evolution. If you nor anyone else that you know of has seen this take place, how do you absolutely believe that it took place without faith (believing without seeing)? Yes, I know those who believe in the theory say that there is "evidence", but since you haven’t seen it take place yourself, you don’t know anyone who has, nor know everything regarding the theory (i.e. who the common ancestor between humans and monkeys is), must faith be involved to totally accept it? Why is it necessary that you believe in it now? Why not wait until things evolve again, you know when you’ll be able to know for sure without faith.

(Please refrain from answering my question by attacking creationism, because as you see it wasn’t mentioned in the question.)

If you can live several million or billion years you will see it happening. But it is so damned slow, yet it is sure.

Evolution makes no claims whatsover that something comes from nothing.

Evolution makes no claims that non-living things become living things.

Evolution claims:

1) Organisms have some traits which are genetic.

2) Organisms vary both in their traits and their genes.

3) Some traits confer greater reproductive success on some individual organisms.

4) The frequency of genes in a population depends on the reproductive success of the individuals in the previous generation.

The latest problem for evolution is the revealings of the Cambrian field in China. More forms of life and with greater complexity are found in these fossilized remains than are found on the planet today. it proves that Darwins theory of natural selection achieving greater variety and complexity is false because we have 40% fewer basic species groups than were present in the Cambrian era.

Do you know anyone who has lived for a billion or two years, because that's how long it took for this process to happen? We know this without seeing it because of evidence. Maybe you creationists should look into it, it helps support one's case.

Edit: To the person right above me...Does this take into account mass extinctions due to ice ages or collisions with other heavenly bodies? No? I love how you guys give partial evidence to support your ideas.

Evolution isn't about life coming from non-life, it's about how life changes once it's already here. I think you're confusing evolution with abiogenesis.

If they admitted it took faith, that would be saying they are people of faith, which would make them like us. That would be terrible.

No, and I don't expect to. God is the creator of life. And He created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.
