Come out west, Rangeland fires are constantly threatening Urban Sprawl. There are any fine businesses contracted by the federal government to support firefighting activities, so if your serious, get in touch with either the Bureau of land Management or the Forest Service, who fight most of these fires to see about jobs, and contractors.

Every community has a need for firefighters. If you are looking for that as a profession, you'll need to check around. I was a volunteer for 14 years. Ate a lot of smoke, cut up a ton of cars and helped a lot of people. It was very rewarding.
