It depends on what you consider reasonable. There are a million places in Mexico and S. America, Florida, California. For me, I say go to Australia, Fiji, or the Caymans.

Machias, Maine. Call Pat 207-255-4140. She rents out cottages, they are directly on the ocean. Absolutely beautiful. Bar Harbor about 30-40 minutes, watch a sunrise or sunset at Cadillac Mountain also Canada about 25-20 minutes. You would have a very romantic and enjoyable time. Try it, you'll love it

If you are on the East Coast look at Virginia Beach, if the rooms are too expensive there look at the Ocean View area of Norfolk. Ocean View has beaches and believe it or not an Ocean View for half the price of VA. Beach, which is 15 miles south of Ocean View.

Anna Maria Island, Florida. Especially in the off-season when most of the snow birds have gone home. My favorite place in the world - and still not overrun with people (compared to the rest of Florida.) Check with a realtor there. They have the best leads on the best properties. If you want to take it up a notch - Longboat Key - more expensive - fewer people.

Try Cape May, New Jersey. Also I'm not sure how romantic it is but the beaches and the ocean at Myrtle Beach, SC are great. Plenty to do there also including parasailing and other water sports.

Any Carribbean Cruise or Pacific Cruise. They are very affordable because they are all inclusive and you can't get a much better ocean view.
