Nutritional yeast (available at health food stores) is very nutritious for cats and people, too. It's full of protein and B vitamins. Just sprinkle on their food to help nourish them better. Most cats go crazy for it (people, too).

More than likely, they have roundworms. Have you checked their stool? It's really disgusting, but you can spot them easily there. Outdoor cats seem to get worms very easily. It is very inexpensive to treat. I got some meds at the vet for about $5 for an injured kitten I had, then bought some medicine at Wal-mart for about $3.60 for my other cats. I highly recommend the vet's meds. It wasn't that much more costly, but it was in a pre-mixed syringe. With the other medicine, I ended up having to purchase an eyedropper anyway (additional $1.50) to dispense the medicine because, no matter what the box said, the cats HATED the taste of the medicine and would not take it with their food! Now everyone is covered, but in the future, I'll definitely just get it from the vet and dispense with all the drama (lol). Hope that takes care of your problem.

Oh! Don't worry about them. Unless they have worms and need a dewormer, they are healthy, active cats.
I've lived on a farm for years. And during that time I've always had cats. They are a very active animal who run around a lot.
Outdoor animals that stay active are usually thin and muscular. Perfectly normal.
Great job on beign a good owner. But just in case, I recommend you take them to a local vet for a check-up. ^-^

Well sometimes it has to do with what kind of cat you have. I have 2 different kinds of cats. One is fat and lazy. The other one is really active and eats as much as the other cat. It could be the kind of cat you have. And yes my cats are outdoor cats too. But when GusGus was born he was fat. LOL. And when Blue (the skinny cat) goes out to have fun and chase mice he gets it but then GusGus goes and tries to eat some too. But Blue doesn't mind it. And they might have a type of worm that makes it skinny. My cat just got checked and he is fine. Oh and the food can help too. My two dogs at my dads house started out on different food and one is fat and short and the other one has longer legs and is long and not as fat. But they are both the same type of pet.

Ummm...... Try worming them. A lot of times if a cat or dog doesnt get wormed as a kitten or puppy they can have worms. These parasites will eat all the minerals your cats take in making the cats look skinny. Take them to the vet to get them wormed or you can also just go to the nearest pet shop and buy cat wormer and give them the correct dosage! Well I hope I helped some! :)

Your cats could have roundworms or tapeworms. Kittens are often born with worms and need to be dewormed several times while young. Adult cats can get them from ingesting fleas during grooming or raw meat. You can get deworming medication from your vet or over the counter.

They could have worms. The worms are eating all their nutrients instead of the cat getting them.I would go to the store and pick-up some worm medication.By the way I wouldn't go to the vet to pick up the medication because it is usually overpriced compared to Wal Mart or something.

Seriously, you probably want to have them checked for intestinal worms or give them a deworming medication. There are so many parasites that outside cats can get.

take them to the vet. ask him/her about the problem. chances r its because your cats are outdoors cats, they probably get more exercise and run around more than indoor cats that sleep all day. also, get some cat food to help your cat gain weight if nessicary but ask the vet first.
