I'm stuck with the job "Pick up the dog's poop" I cannot do it. I touch it (with a glove and bag on my hand) but it's stuck to the grass and is crumbling apart. It's not big. just a little bigger than a tootsie roll, but I still can't take how it smells or looks. Any advice on how to get the nerve to do it? My mom syas perhaps I'll get a raise in my allowence if I do it.

You need what we call a pooper scooper. Mine, well it's great, you don't need to touch the poop at all. It's a two piece contraption, and one piece is the "spade" that you use to pick up the poop. It has a handle, and a small piece of metal attached to the bottom, shaped like an index card, but a little bigger. The second piece of the scooper is a place to scoop the poop into. It also has a handle, so that all of the poop picking up is done at ground level, and it has a metal base, and three little walls to hold the poop in. The nice part is, it's metal, so you can hose it down and clorox it when it starts to smell. You can buy them for about 15 dollars on www.cherrybrook.com. Cherrybrook is a website that sells pet supplies. Just make sure that you don't get the one that's a rake, it will just split the poop apart. Keep in mind, this takes a little practice, but in no time, you'll be picking up poop, and not even minding the chore! Feel free to contact me privately for more info.

Get a pooper scooper!

We have one that's like a small rake and a dustpan. Makes it very easy to pick up.

Or you could get one of those cat litter scoopers that have a round, hollow handle. You attach a bag to the end of the handle. Scoop the poo, tilt up and into the bag it goes.

Other than that, it's just poo. You're not eating it or playing with it. Grab it with a double bag and toss it. Wash your hands once you're back inside. (Think of how often your parents had to wipe your dirty butt when you were a baby... it's something that has to be done.)

Oh yeah eww!!! I asked my friends to do it, haha!! But there are pooper scoopers at the store. Where all you have to do is scrape it up with a rake type thing into a this pan. Like sweeping. But remember, it's just old food that they pup ate. Just think of it as that.. HAHA!! :D But yeah, still you might feel comforted more if you still wore gloves with the pooper scooper.

keep the dog inside in a crate when you are not home. Take the dog outside and down the street to where that mean old woman lives. You know the one that give apples on halloween. Let the dog poop in her yard. Just don't get caught.

i got this cool pooper scooper at petsmart... plastic grocery bags hook right onto it so you dont have to touch the poop... you just scoop and it falls right into the bag... it's a lot less gross and you dont have to bend down as much.

Ask her to buy a pooper scooper. Then you won't have to touch it at all. Or uses a shovel and a rake. Rake it into the shovel.
