here on the east coast, we have this stuff called "Fluff". its a jar of melted marshmallow stuff. when i visited my cousin in college all the girls there called and asked me to bring them some.
when i go to canada, they have "ketchup flavored potato chips" and a bunch of chocolate bars that arent available down here. so, there must be things like that all over the country. anyone else come across any good ones?

Old Forge style pizza. Only available in this little town in Northeastern Pennsylvania. It's sort of like what's called Sicilian style elsewhere, but not quite. Excellent.

The hot pretzels they sell on the street in Philadelphia. There's nothing like them; the franchises in malls are NOT the same.

Fried stickies (a cinnamon bun kind of thing that you brown in butter before eating) from Penn State.

Herr's potato chips. (Another Pennsylvania delicacy). They may have a wider distribution, I'm not sure about that.

Peppermint stick ice cream. Only place I've ever had it is on Cape Cod. If it's available anywhere else, they're keeping it a pretty good secret.

Fresh squeezed lemonade on the Boardwalk at the Jersey Shore.

I hate to burst your bubble but fluff is available nationwide- though yes it is more popular on the east coast. Ketchup flavored potato chips are also available here in the states though less popular... I haven't been able to find an Aero candy bar in the US despite it being available in Canada and the UK-

IrnBru- a orange soda drink made in and sold in the UK

Toasted Ravioli- Saint Louis, MO USA claims it as their own

Provel Cheese- Another Saint Louis thing... they use it on pizza here instead of mozzarella

Stuffed Pizza- Chicagoans claim it as theirs- and truly I haven't had any decent stuffed pizza outside of Chicago- they must know something the rest of the country doesn't!

Chicago dog- Just a hot dog but prepared in a very particular and curious way with a pickle spear, fluorescent green relish and a tomato wedge.

I'm curious to see what others post!

In the Maryland/PA region there are UTZ potato chips (THE best), TasteyKake chocolate cup cakes, and Mary Sue Easter Eggs for Easter (coconut are the best).

Bergers Chocolate cookies...to die for!

Steamed Blue crabs with OLD BAY seasoning.

Snow Balls - traditionally made ---with marshmallow - of course

These are the things of Maryland - especially Baltimore

Northeast US (my home) - pizza, philadelphia cheese steaks, White Castle burgers. Sorry, the pizza in the rest of the country is crap. (Maybe it's a LITTLE better these days than in the past.) Best italian restaurants I have ever found.

Southeast - hush puppies, chicken-fried steak. FRIED CHICKEN!

East coast (Maine, Connecticut, Maryland, all the way down) - crabcakes, lobster (Maine), oysters, fish, etc.

Midwest - RIBS!

Texas - best Mexican food I ever had.

New Orleans - Man, it's out of this world! Amazing food and drink 'till you burst! I hope they are coming back strong.
