you go out with a girl for a few months and never ask her age at the time but you hit it off really good and in your mind shes got to be at least 21 but then you find out shes 16 but your in love with her already and your 23

To me...I think love is love no matter how old you are. She was obviously mature enough not to be playing hopscotch and make you wonder "Gee how old is this kid"? So why should it matter if she's 7 years younger...besides for the law!! (But look at what idiots are writtin' these sometimes-tripe garbage!)
My mom was 10 years younger than my step-dad and they got along great!...so once again...love is love! If you run...you might regret it for the rest of your life....

You can continue the relationship, but I don't think it would be right to sleep with her yet. If you love each other, you can wait a few years. If I were you, I'd be a little shocked that she didn't tell me her young age in the beginning. From what I know about girls that age, I'd be a little suspicious about her motives. When I was that age, I found most girls who dated "college guys" were only looking for someone they could manipulate, show off to their friends, and ditch later without fear of having to run into him the next day at school. If you know in your heart that she's not like that and you two think you can make it work, congratulations to you both and I wish you the best. Just make sure you meet her parents and talk to them about it also, being that she is still a minor.

i know everyone tells you thats wrong because of the age thing and the possibility of statutory rape, but i was that girl in that situation and my bf never got in trouble, the point is girls mature faster than guys so we are always looking for someone older. My opinion make sure she knows ur age ad is ok with it, and just be careful, theres nothing wrong with falling in love with someone younger

Your first mistake was not asking and verifying her age so shame on YOU. Your second mistake is asking what do you do when you know that what you are doing is illegal!!! It amazes me how people can fall IN LOVE soooo damn fast now a days. Oh and I dont believe you didnt know she was as young as she was. She would have to be pretty damn bright to be able to not be home doing chores under her parents roof instead of out kicking it with you.

get out while you can. If her parents find out you'll be in serious criminal trouble. The thing is if you are charged with statutory rape it will haunt you forever. You will be a sex offender and put in the same category with perverts and pedophiles which I know you are not. Please do yourself a favor and break it off with her.
