This is an interesting question, although you know we're not supposed to set dates! He did tell us, though, that we can know "the season."
Jesus tells us in Matthew 24 the signs that reveal the Second Coming is imminent. Each of these signs is referred to as a labor pain (or "pang"). Theologians argue about which "pang" is the first: the rebirth of Israel on 5/14/1948 (referenced within Matt. 24:34-35), or the end of WWII, which most historians will tell you is a continuation of WWI (Matt. 24:7). In order to understand this second reference, you must know that, in Rabbinical literature written prior to Jesus' birth, the concept of a nation rising against another nation, and a kingdom rising against another kingdom, implied world war.
Jesus then tells us at Matthew 24:34 (and parallel passages in other Gospels) that: "Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place."
Psalm 90:10 clarifies that a Biblical "generation" is 70 years, not the 20 years that we think of as a generation today. Taken together, Matt. 24:34 and Psalm 90:10 suggests that the generation living at the time the first "pang" occurs will still be alive when Jesus' Second Coming occurs.
We also know from Daniel 9:27 that the Tribulation will last 7 years; most folks also concede the Rapture will occur prior to the Tribulation.
Again --- I am NOT date setting, but, considering the above information and assuming the Rapture will come BEFORE the Tribulation (not during or after it), we can calculate the following TENTATIVE Rapture years:
1) If the end of WWII was the first "pang:" 1945 + 70 - 7 = 2008.
2) If the rebirth of Israel was the first "pang:" 1948 + 70 - 7 = the year 2011.
Could the Rapture happen sometime between 2008 and 2011? Sure. Could the true first pang be another event not considered above? Yup. Could the Lord either hurry or tarry and surprise us? ABSOLUTELY.
Keep your lamps full of oil and wait for Him patiently.

KcEdmunds,
It could be this year. But not until the Feast of the Trumpets. If it doesn't happen then, it will not be until the Feast of the Trumpets.
God is the God is "Set Times." I think that the feasts are types of things to come. Passover when Jesus was laid in the tomb, the Spirit poured out on Pentecost. These were fulfilled types by the actual manifestation. The feasts are foretellings.
Jesus will rapture his chruch on a Feast of the Trumpets on any given year that he decides, before the Great Tribulation.
Still, I think it can be this year. September 23 in Israel.

No man knows the day or hour, but it could come at any moment.
The rapture will take place on or about the same time as the appearance of the anti-christ.
Look at what's happening in the mid-east. All we need is a large scale war with a 7 year peace deal brokered by a "man of lawlessness"
Getting closer!!!!

No mortal knows the answer to that... for those of us of The True Christian Faith it is not even a concern... we are told that we will not know untill it happens... So do'nt worry about it... Unless you are not of The Church of Which Jesus The Christ is The Head...then you need to be concerned... because only those of The Church are going in The Rapture...

I think we have unlimited time because I don't believe it's going to happen. Even when I was a Christian (I grew up that way), we didn't really believe in the rapture. Revelations kind of sounds like it was written by a crazy guy or maybe someone on drugs.

I'd say no more than 5-10 years. Compare the things going on in the world today to the writings of Revelation and you'll see than many of these things that God said would have to come to pass to mark that day have already happened! I don't suppose it would take much more time than that, because of the rapid decline of society, it's general unbelief, and the spread of the gospel into places it could've never gone before.

There is no "rapture". I would rather stay here and stand against the devil, the antichrist. When you see the fake Jesus, claiming to be Jesus, on Mt Zion; are you going to believe that there is no rapture? Are you going to worship that fake Jesus; the false prophet?
I hope not.

No man knows the hour or the day. When Jesus was on this earth He said that only His Father knew it.
But the Bible says that if you watch the increase of earthquakes, the signs of children turning against there parents and parents against there children, wars and rumors of wars and people being lovers of only themselves and their desires that the more that it increases the closer we are to that day.
