pain and death are a constant to all. I'd say joy and love, but that is inaccurate. Hunger is something we all share, for one thing or another.

We struggle for meaning and purpose. We want to make sense of life and circumstances.
We feel pain, and we seek to avoid it. We learn that pain is unavoidable and we learn to adapt.
We have baggage. Some deal with it better than others - or more effectively - but no one is untouched. No one gets everything they need.
We spend time thinking about what we "should" do, or how things "ought to be." We have a sense of fairness.
We all want love. We may define it differently or experience it as different things, but we want it.
We both crave and fear attachments. They make us both exhilarated and vulnerable.
We think we are the only ones who feel __________.
We compare our internal chaos with the crafted exterior of others. It's not a fair measurement.
We are capable of selflessness, but don't achieve it as often as we'd like.
When someone we love suffers, we suffer too.
We have secrets. We bear guilt and shame. We go into denial or repression or hypervigillance to deal with it - unless or until we learn to love, forgive, and accept ourselves.
We find the faults of others most unbearable if they also happen to be our own faults, unless we've learned to forgive our own fallibility.
We are able to give, even when we think we have nothing to offer.
We all go through times of emptiness and loneliness.
Grief and anger follow predictable patterns - no matter who you are or what your background is.
Our interactions with each other are based on the notion that we can change. That we can be persuaded. There is a bit of optimism in that.
We are both better and worse than we like to admit.
We age, and we don't like that. We know we will die, and we fear that. We live, trying to make peace with our mortality.

"and regardless of the Origin of the Species, we are all of the same species."
Not a good base upon which to place the question. We are not all the same species...there are human beings and there are animals - 2 different species.

One common item?
We are different.
You can say you are white, he is brown, but each and every person is different.
Not in hair colour or eye shape or body type.
We are not the same.
That is what makes each person unique amongst the masses.
What makes the person, is how he/she uses that difference to be someone unique and make a path in this world irregardless of what you think or believe.
Different.

We were all created in the image of God, crafted by a loving and tender Being who has our best interests at heart and only wants us to know Him.
I normally don't care for generalizations, but I think that this one's accurate.

I would think that would be an awfully long list....wouldn't it be easier to ask what we don't have in common?
