Gladly our founding fathers wanted nothing of the sort. They wanted a secular government (in spite of what Christians say, we weren't founded upon Christianity).
And besides, what makes it Sunday? What about Saturday, the Jewish Sabbath?
Bad question, and I hope you don't believe that we should pass such a bad and anti-American law.

I'd say it's about time!! But I don't like that "if you didn't you would pay with your life stuff". Emergency's are emergency's. I think we need to get back to the times where peaple just went to church on Sunday's and every store is closed. The way things are going, I would be more likely to believe that in time we are not allowed to go to church any day, and if we did, we would pay for it with our life.

You've gotta read Galatians, sister! We're not restrained by the law anymore; Christ has set us free. Any attempt to reinstate the old law, and we just imprison ourselves again.
I'm not saying that Sunday shouldn't be kept holy; most Christians would agree that a Sabbath day (whatever day it is) ought to be set aside for worship and rest. But to make it a law goes against what Christ did for us.
And it won't do much to win others for Christ either ;)

These laws already exist in some states. Look up "blue laws".
Except there is no death sentence. LOL Just a mandate businesses must be closed all day Sunday.

Well, seeing as I don't really ever work on the weekends anyway, and I've always been saying I'm going to go to church sometime, I'd probably be a good little citizen, and be rewarded for my time.

Well technically speaking Saturday was the Sabbath in the begining. but any way, why not keep it Holy, I mean GOD is only requesting one day a week and if we cant do that then there is a problem!

They did that before and it didn't work. That would be impossible in this day and age. Most companies need to keep working around the clock.
