both side claim victory. Hezbollah's holds two Israel soldiers who's capture in a cross border raid on July 12 sparked the war.the guerrillas have also survived the onslaught of the so called worlds mightiest armies.
they have managed to put the issue of the disputed shebaa farm border area on the agenda.
under the resolution, Israel would achieve its goal of getting Hezbollah away from the border to be replaced by Lebanese and UN forces.the resolution could also make it harder for Hezbollah to get new supplies of rockets.it calls for the implementation of a UN resolution providing for Hezbollah,s disarmament but does not say when.
Israel believes it has done much more damage to Hezbollah then the guerrilla group acknowledges
civilians on both sides have been a big losers.

Hezbollah very definitely did not win the war. Whether Israel actually won or not, we have yet to see. If the current plan for peace is effective (and Hezbollah is removed from Southern Lebanon and disarmed), then Israel will have its victory. Otherwise, there was no winner.

Israel won the battle but lost the media-war by bombing indiscriminately. The Israeli government lost partly support of their people. Lebanon is destroyed for a big part.
All civilians lost (in Lebanon and Israel).
Hezbollah gained respect by the Muslims but lost it by the other ethnic groups in Lebanon.
UN is not trusted anymore
Conclusion : every one lost except the fanatics leaders of Hezbollah that have used their people for their proper goals.

unless Israel actually leaves ALL of Lebanon's state, than Israel won. That's what the war was over, Israel was trying for the past 24 years to take Lebanon's property, and the people of Lebanon formed a group of Military, that stood up to Israel to fight for their land back. Quit Blaming Lebanon for this until you research it and see for yourself.

I Love Israel, but, I would fight against them too if they were taking my land, and so would everyone else.
