Are any of these vehicles overpriced?
Which vehicle has the best performance? (Eclipse gets 200hp, Tiburon 180hp, but may have more torque b/c it's a manual?)
Any bargaining tips & tricks you'd like to share?

Before you answer, keep this in mind:

Performance and cosmetics are basically the deciding factor. The Toyota is relatively slow and severely lacks HP (it only has 140HP).

And could I get reasoning why Hyundai isn't a good choice?

AS FAR AS VEHICLE #1, WHO WOULD SPEND THAT MUCH MONEY ON A VEHICLE THAT SOUNDS LIKE IT'S BEEN THROUGH THE RINGER? DENTS - WOULD BE TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE TO ME. NOT IMPRESSED WITH MITSUBISHI.

VEHICLE#3 - VERY HIGH MILEAGE!!! SOUNDS LIKE YOU'RE PAYING FOR THE NAME ONLY!!!!

I'VE JUST BOUGHT A BRAND NEW HYUNDAI AND I CAN TELL YOU FROM MUCH RESEARCH THAT TOYOTA SELLS THEIR VEHICLES FOR 10k TO 15k MORE THAN ANY OTHER VEHICLE FOR THE SAME DAMN THING!!!!

MY HYUNDAI HAS A 5 YEAR 100,000 WARRANTY! WHAT MORE COULD OR WOULD YOU WANT. AFTER FIVES YEARS LETS GET RID OF IT.

I'D TRY THE HYUNDAI IF I WERE YOU - SOUNDS LIKE THE OTHER TWO, BESIDES THEIR NAMES ARE WAY OVER PRICED FOR WHAT YOU'RE GETTING.

HOPE THIS HELPS!!

2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spoiler

Wow, the Eclipse is way overpriced. I saw a 2001 Eclipse w/ auto & 60K miles for $5900 at a Mitsubishi dealership last year.

I like the Celica the best. But I would check autotrader.com first.

A manual transmission will get you best milelage and power put down, but the Hyundai has a weak frame and may give you problems later on. Out of these three the Eclipse is probably your best buy, but you should probably keep looking around. If you are looking for a performance vehicle, look for something with rear-wheel drive (its workload is balanced better over all the tires and generally handles much better).

2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT

Hyundai is worthless.

Now you are down to two. Because of the high miles on the Celica, you have quite a bit of bargaining room. While the miles on the Toyota are high, the expected life of a Toyota is much greater than either of the other vehicles. Therefore, the Toyota is probably the best buy, assuming you can negotiate a better deal.

Eclipse

Tiburon is going to be your least expensive car. However I would go with the mitsubishi eclipse due to best resale value and looks. easier to find automatic.

Toyota. They will run forever with low maintenance problems. Also the gas mileage should be better. Don't get the Eclipse, they are not reliable enough (from experience).
