A good question. I would think that there would be factions supporting both sides of that coin. Look back at World War II when the US locked up the Japanese Americans because of a possible threat to the nation. Was it warranted? Not in every case...BUT definitely in some.
There are extremists living in this country now waiting to act on behalf of Allah and Islam. There are also more tolerant Muslims in the country that wouldn't condone their behavior. We, as Americans, need to cautious during these times.

Luckily I think that the citizens of "Muslim" countries are not all as fanatic as many believe and would be against a mass movement against the West. I also believe that the US citizens are much more rational than to let the country go to war with an entire religion.
(Not a Muslim myself though)

I'm under the impression that Muslims are fighting for what they consider their homeland, rather than their religion. This is a fight for ancestral property in the Middle East, which every religion in that region claims as its own. Hatred of the USA is born out of the USA's support of Israel (in terms of more than a trillion dollars in aid over the years); Israel has been engaged for over half a century in fighting its neighbors over territory, financed largely by the American government.

They (America) will never fight ALL Islamic countries. You think Kuate (sp?) is DANGEROUS!!!!! Jordan? Hell, even Syria ain't making news at all.
Are you talking about a HOLY war? If so, I guess they won't fight. If you're talking about oppression, you'd be surprised at how many fight for the US and are fighting for them now in Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere for the American Ideal.
Islam is a religion interpreted as loosely and as tightly as any other religion. Remember how South Africa justified Apartheid as a CHRISTIAN value. Should I believe all people who call themselves Christian believe that?
