Because I am an intelligent rational human being who's desire to fit in does not overwhelm my desire to know the truth.
I am not narcissistic, and do not believe the human race is the chosen species and more valuable than all others just because our brains are more developed.
The unknown does not frighten me and I have no need to fill in the gaps with fairy tales to make myself feel better.
I'm not an idiot.
Is that good enough for you?

The reasons why some people do not believe in the theory of God is in my opinion, that they are the winners are are the perfect being.
Well, to answer your quesiton there are lots of reasons. If god does exist, then why are the good people suffering and the corrupted, cheats and criminals are enjoying?? If there is a god, then why does it not solve the problems of the most commonest society and the whole world?? If you ask me, Superheros in comic books do a better jod than this god which so many fanatics believe in.
To add some more to clear your doubts. Can't god see the bad things happening in the world like crime, discriminination??
What's more, according to History and the present day, it is because of these believers of gods, better known as fanatics who are the real plague of this planet. The Crusades between the Christians and the Muslims, between the Hindus and the Muslims and the Sikhs!?! This illogical thinking of god has messed up our beautifull planet

There is a supremem being, however humans define his name as Christ,Lord or God. I do not believe in d bible but i do believe that there is a supremem being. I believe that there is a power greater than man who could have created the world. Let me give u some reasons y people don't believe in the Lord:
1. Who created the Lord before the Lord could have created the world?
2. If there is a God y is there confudion about evolution or creation.

Everything in life takes a leap of faith, regardless if you are atheist or theist, it makes no difference. Science is only as good as its ability to make observations of characteristics or behaviors and replicate them on a consistent basis, nothing more. The observation maybe totally off base but it may prove consistent through replications and this is why theories exist. I nor scientists can prove that electricity is the movement of electrons or that these particles has a specific mass, rather we make the assumption that electrons hold these characteristics and behaviors based on our ability to replicate these observations on a consistent basis.
Again, I cannot prove that god does or doesn't exist, I can only make the assumption based on the literature and observations of others. Actually, I can't prove that anything exists, rather I can make the assumption that it does based on consistent replication of an observation. And somethings alone such as the existence of god, I can't make observations of or replicate and I still end up making an assumption that it exists. I can't prove it, but I will make the ASSUMPTION that god exists.

I have a hard time believing that there is some supreme being up somewhere..listening and watching everything I do. There are millions of people in this world..and if there is only 1 Deity that is up there...then ...he has to have the biggest migraine ever....
Its just not a realistic thought to me...and I can't grasp it. If you believe good for you..if you don't ..good for you..why does it matter?

i'm an ex christian and i stopped believing because i couldn't continue forcing myself to believe in something i knew in my heart that i didn't really believe in as time went on. it was literally like i was 'snapping out of it'. i felt betrayed by people who i thought were my friends; i felt like i lost a lot of my life to something i suddenly realized was fake. now i'm an atheist and to me, i'd have to see god for me to believe in him. i refuse to let some unproven THING rule my decisions in life and i refuse to beat myself up over being human. it's my body, my mind, my heart and my life - not the lord's or whoever the f*ck. i can, will and do think for myself. i'm sick of being force fed "the word of god" every where i turn in this country. i can live a good life as a good human being with good morals, values and ethics without religion. those are my reasons, good enough?

the Lord as a description of the Christian God is limited to their beliefs and understanding. There are many other beliefs, knowledge, etc. that confirm God for others in another form.

Is your queston really about not believing in the Christian lord?
Because if so, it's because the bible is so full of error that it's ridiculous to base your life on it.
