Trina B:

well i used to bleach my hair then i dyed it BLACK and its been black for about a year but at the same time every 6 months i relaxed my hair to make it straight then i stopped relaxing my hair for the last 6 months.... i just ironed my roots instead to make my hair straight then instead of dying my hair black i used a no amonia and vegetable black hair dye for a while then up to i think 1 month ago i tried henna for 2 to 3 weeks i didnt like it so i "removed it" by puttingt warm mineral oil on my hair and left it there for an hour then i dyed it black with feria hair dye..... and now thats how my hair feels like....

Ok, first off start taking vitamins, prenatal ones work really well for hair and nails.

There is not much you can do for your hair now, you have to wait for the regrowth. Do you have a "The Body Shop" near you? They have a wonderful hair mask "Brazil Nut hair Mask" you put it on for 15 min. or overnight then wash it out it works really well.

You should also buy good hair products, not grocery store stuff, you can skimp on the shampoo, but buy a good conditioner, ask your stylist what she recommends.

Are you bleaching your hair? That is horrible for it, also are you flat ironing it? Thats really bad too. Use a blow dryer and a round brush to get it straight. Or invest in a hot air curling iron, it has bristles you can use it like a blow dryer.

A stylist could advise you better, but in the meanwhile:

Get your hair trimmed to remove the split ends.

Don't braid it and don't use rubber bands to tie it: For a while I had trouble with my hair fraying and splitting too, and that was why.

Take a look at what you're eating: One sign of an unbalanced diet is weakened hair.

Get a good conditioner to go with your shampoo.

And get a new brush, if the old one is starting to look frayed. Sometimes old brushes can damage hair too.

Good luck!

Get a trim and a protein mask. My hairdresser gives me one 4 times a year to help with the changing of the seasons. Try to get moisturizing shampoos especially for curly hair. I heard that the new dove line is great but I haven't tryed that out yet. Deep condition every week and try to keep heat to a minimum.

U should put hair conditioner on your hair and sit under a dryer. This will make your hair thick and health.

Also try a mayonnaise conditioner and mix it with a egg this will make your hair soft and shinny (after u rinse it out of course)

Use Infusium 23--it is an excellent leave-in conditioner that you spray on after you get out of the shower, while your hair is still damp.

It has been said that medications can affect your hair. If you have been on some, and now you are off, just be patient. I am on a medication that helps one problem but causes weight gain. ( Just thought I'd mention that...misery loves comp[any!)

Try using Redken Tea Tree, and then try the Redken Kat treatment, it's expensive, but believe me, (I'm a hair-stylist), it works!

There is also shampoo;s/conditioners for split ends.
And you can get extra strength hair elastics too!
You can get all this stuff at your local drug store.
