Hey You Have Nothing To Worry About!! i was unsure what it was going to be like.... it doesn't hurt at all!! well when thye put them on the put this glue on your teeth, stick the little pracket on...and then they get this light that makes it set!! it's nothing to worry about!! and i'm getthing my braces off tomorow!!

i think it's really amazing having braces cause you get to see your teeth change and get better!!

the only time braces hurt is after a few hours that you have had them tightened!! but if you can, take pain killers like a hour bfore you go!!

also you might like to know that when the say 'now, feel around to check that there is nothign sharp left, it feels so strange!! this is because the dry your mouth out while applying the braces....when i got mine it felt like i couldn't get to my teeth...like i had a cage around them that was stopping me from getting to them, but when you teeth has settles down, you get use to it!! trust me!! it feels like your mouth is sticking out a mile when you get them on for a while but its not!! my mouth did swell a tad, but not everyones does!!

well good luck, hope you like having them on, and most importantly DON'T WORRY!! just think i am going to have wicked teeth when i get these off!!

I got my braces put on a little over a year ago, and have just recently had them taken off. But anyway...at first, they'll probably put spacers (Little rubber rings.) between your back teeth, so they can put your bands (The metal things that go all the way around your back teeth.) on. The spacers don't hurt to bad going in, or coming out, but for a day or two after you've had them put in, your teeth will HURT. Mine were so sore, I couldn't even chew a muffin. Try taking Tylonal, and sometimes holding warm water in your mouth helps. After the spacers are in, they will probably cement the brackets (The little square things.) to your teeth. This part doesn't hurt, just tastes kind of bad. The next time you go in, the spacers will be removed, and you will be fitted for your bands. This doesn't hurt, but you do feel pressure at time, and when they go to cement them in, you won't feel too much. Again, it just tastes kind of bad. Once all that is done, they'll put the wire in, and you'll be done. Until you go to get the tightned that is, and the do that, by changing your wire. Pretty painless while they're doing it, but your teeth are a little sore afterwards. The worst part of the whole thing, will be the very begining...spacer, bands, all of that. It gets better and less painful every time. It kind of sucks, but just think about how pretty your teeth will be afterwards.

The whole process of getting them on isn't really that painful, it just takes forever. The most pain comes in the 2 days after you get your braces on. It's the time where you're teeth have to move the most so for obvious reasons it will be painful. After the first few days you will not even notice them hopefully.

it doesnt hurt getting them put on. they will dry out your mouth to stick the bonding onto your teeth and there is a little bit of a nasty tate from that but dont worry, u get to rinse your mouth out after. it will get a little uncomfortable a few days after they are put on due to your teeth moving about a little and the braces tightening but you will be fine and you wont even know you are wearing braces after 3 or 4 weeks! i had mine for 4 years and i missed them when they were taken off!

if you've already had the spacers put in, then they'll just pop on brackets (around your molars in the back). then they cement on the braces. you have to sit with your mouth opened up pretty uncomfortably for a good long while, waiting for them to dry. then they'll put the wire in and you can pick the color of the bands you want.

they'll be really strange for a while. just make sure you check the brackets for extra wire because they sometimes will snag on your cheek and it hurts a bit.

the process in itself isn't really painful, other than when they push down on the brackets and having your mouth held open for un-godly amounts of time.

here's a site i just found on it. it's a little goofy looking, but oh well.

dont worry about it too much. all they do is they put theses separaters in your mouth to keep it open, then they dry off your teeth and put cottin things to keep the saliva away. then they glue the bracet to ur teeth one at a time. i dosnt hurt. then they put the wire through the middle of the bracet. to hold it in place... well thats wat the little bands are for...colors! and ur good to go! oh ya... one more thing, your teeth are sore for about 2 weeks! ouch... but by your next appointment, they will feel better. stock up on that applesauce girl, ur gonna need it.

Not at all! They're only sore for the first few days, then they're easy as pie. No pain whatsoever when they're first being put on. It just gets a little boring.
