I mean all is subjective and the ones with the most power, opportunity and means to use that power makes the rules for everyone else. Rather than submitting to the God of all creation, people are forced to submit to the "Big Man" of the earth. People who do not believe in God only think they are free from following. Would you rather submit to the guidnace of a loving, gracious creator or some "Dudes"?

If there are no absolutes, there is no way to decide "best."

If there are no absolutes, there is no such thing as winning and losing.

But I see what you are saying--you are saying that the one most capable of grasping power over people appears to be victorious, in that people are more likely to turn their wills over to such a person.

It is true that some people who think there is no God also think they are at liberty. They are not. They are at the whims of those with more earthly (i.e., political, physical, manipulative) power than they.

There is no god and there are no absolutes.

The rules of societal interaction are determined by society as a whole--not by some elite ruling group. For example, it's mostly the fact that no one wants to live in fear of being murdered that murder is now a punishable crime. However, some killing, such as to save the life of your child against an attacker, is not considered a crime.
Murder is not wrong because some god said so. It's wrong because people (collectively) say so.

It's a simplified answer, but something like this always happens in highly social species like humanity .

Would submit to the lord, for everybody in the end has to sooner or later submit to the lord, The big man of the earth , is only big for the time being in a very subjective manner....a buuble that eventually bursts.

"God" is certainly not loving and gracious. But to answer your question, if the world were free, then it wouldn't be the "Big Man" we were forced to submit to, but it would be the will of the majority and their morality. Which is fine for me.

But there ARE absolutes. If you're born alive you will die. Even people who believe in a diety have to submit to the "Big Man" of the Earth or be imprisoned.

But you said yourself, there is no god. I can not submit to a non existent entity.

Besides, people have always had to submit to the people in control of god. The church. I'll pass on that.

people choose not to follow God because they believe that they will waste their life away following something that doesn't exsist...but the truth is, if you take a look at most christian lives then you'll realize that the only truely happy people you'll ever meet are christians...even if God isn't real they're living a better life for believing!

well, since you put it that way, I wouldn't want to submit to the Dudes. Regardless of if you believe in God that sits on a throne and interacts with the world, you still have to give Karma a part. Meaning, you get what you give, and vice versa. Haven't you ever seen My Name is Earl??? Duh!

lol well that was entertaining. Personally I like the idea of a high all seeing, loving, forgiving God Instead of one person running EVERYTHING and then being a tyrrant.
