If one turned away from a prophet after Jesus, aren't they the same as the people who rejected the prophets of old?

Revelation from God does come, daily. I accept it, daily. I feel enlightened and humbled that He would share His wisdom with me.

I'm not "LDS" nor am I a prophet.. (to my knowledge..) The more you build a relationship with God, the more He reveals to you.

Revelation from God after the Bible has happened and I accept it. You are right turning away from a prophet after Jesus is the same as those that rejected the prophets of old. I think many deny the power and love of God when they say that he no longer speaks to man except through the Bible.

Since I have personally received information from God (and I guess that's several hundred years after the Bible was recorded), I can tell you that I certainly accepted it. The problem here is that people also receive information from other spirits that are not from God so it's sometimes difficult to ascertain which it is. For this reason, society as a whole usually holds such information suspect. Because of that, many people refuse to accept any information, including even the information from God. This, of course, has been the same throughout all history.

If revelation comes after the bible, then I would pray and ask God to confirm it is from Him. One thing about God is that He does not want people to be confused about His Word of His nature. Confusion from the devil and not God. God will always, always, always, give confirmation of what is from Him and what is not from Him. This is so that man will have no excuse for His actions and He can never say, "God, I did not know". In Romans chapter 1 it says that all men are without excuse. If you are sincere in seeking God, He will always give you the truth, but some people reject it out of fear or because they are holding on to sin in their life.

Nice try.
When was the last time a "prophet"of the LDS proclaimed a new revelation?
The Bible is complete.
Mormons are believing a lie of satan and they are heavily enslaved in it.
There are NUMEROUS contradictions just in the book of Mormon alone. This fact proves that mormons are following a religion of the devil and are not saved nor will they ever be saved because they are believing in a false god.

Yes and we are to prove those that labor among us. In Ephesians it reads that Jesus gave some Apostles, some Prophets, some Evangelists, some Pastors and some Teachers, for the work of the ministry and the perfecting of the saints.

Soren Kierkegaard has a incredibly good book on this issue: Christian Discourses (Christelige Taler) (or the school of Christianity) ... it basically says that no one would be opened enough to admit the new prophecies or new laws.. and that, if Christ would live again, we would behave identically as his contemporaries behaved.

few would have the open heart to accept him. extremely few. and the history will go over again. that is just our human condition.

And the great makers of cheese set a stench upon the land. And it was parmesan, and it was good. On Pasta. BUT is also stank of feet and the eaters of pasta saw this and switched to Romano. And all was good.
