Salvation comes by following the ten commandments which always involved loving God and the neighbor. The first commandments are about loving God and the last six about not damaging the neighbor.

All the prophets before Jesus looked forward to the day of the Messiah and predicted his coming in a number of prophecies. Read Psalm 22 then read the gospel accounts of the crucifixion and you will see that a great deal of Jesus life was foretold. Jesus in fact fulfilled over 130 Old Testament prophecies which is an impossibility if He were not the one the prophesies spoke of. They knew he would be a nazaren born in bethlehem, how do you decide where you will be born and where your parents will raise you?
You can find better help talking to Christians one on one, is there a church in your area, Pentecostal, Lutheran, Baptist, Salvation Army, covenant, Methodist, Evangelical Free, CM Alliance, they are all on the same team.

No, you have to understand that when the Law of Moses was set up. They had the ritual sacrifice of slaying a lamb and offering it up for sin. The people understood that this lamb was symbolic of Jesus Christ who would come and take away their sins. They would be able to identity who the Messiah was by the kind of death He would die. King David wrote many Psalms concering Jesus Christ as did the prophet Isiah (53:3-5). Every one who was connected to God in the Old Testement was given insight to the coming of Christ and that He would be ruler. Read the book of Jude about Enoch's prophecy of the return of the Lord.

I'm quite sure they would be saved. But they were not necessarily followers of the prophets. They were followers of God through the prophets.Since Jesus hadn't lived yet, they couldn't have followed Jesus and had to have followed God the Father instead. If they followed him and obeyed him, I'm sure they were saved.
I admire you for your sincerity when you're asking questions. Most people who ask questions like this are trying to step on people's toes.

Jesus IS God Incarnate. Therefore, the prophets DID worship Him. Therefore, they are saved, and not going to Hell.

No becasue they worshipped God. The prophets were teachers. They were told that a savior would come but until that time they were to worship and follows God's law. Those that did would make it into heaven.

A lot of what is written in the bible is metaphorical. What I mean by that is that it's misleading. ...You're not supposed to become smart enough to ask questions like that.
