No. Who in the heck told you that? With all of the problems our society is facing with childhood obesity, it's the obvious lack of exercise that is the problem. Kids are gowing up and developing all kinds of diseases that used to only affect middle-aged people, like high blood pressure, high cholesterol diabetes, etc. Before there was television and all of this technology, people didn't have a hard time growing with all of the physical labor that they were expected to do. Kids used to go outside and play...and that was exercise. What about the olympics? Those people are not having a hard time growing when they are training. Exercise, your body wants you to.

Heavy weight lifting and exercises that may cause an increase in testosterone levels certainly can stunt your growth. This happens when the bones are prematurely capped off by bearing excessive weight or a message from the body to cap the growth plates because of excess testosterone.
You'll get alot of answers from people who don't know but let them refute what I just wrote.
They can't because there's scientific evidence to back it up.Ask your doctor and raise the two points that I just did.Regular exercise is good though. You must still eat properly!

No, it helps keep the muscles limber and stretch the tendons. All your growth takes place at night, when you're sleeping, not when you're exercising. So make sure you're getting 10 hours of sleep, or you may not be as tall, or hung, as you could have been.
