Well sex, affection, physical contact, intimacy, they all may seem like just something sleezy to do behind closed doors, but they all serve a purpose when it comes down to it. We need/want these things and we get it from our partner. Just like we get moral support, companionship, friendship, etc. As degraded as sex is by stupid people, it's (in my opinion) an important part of a healthy relationship. Not so much 'sex', but just affection in general. (The things I'd first mentioned at the begining of this post.)

I don't think that it's soo important. Because once you start having sex it takes alot of the "fun" you used to have when you weren't doing it all the time. And alot of times girls get cranky and make up excuses for not giving it to their guy. So I guess it's semi important if you've already done it with that person, but not to be a hoe and run around having sex with umteint million guys. I think I really wished I would have waited to have sex, because now my life is almost screwed up.

It all depends on what you're looking to get out of the relationship. If you really care about the person, sex is a means for expressing your love, but it shouldn't be the only way! Sex should be a time when you can be very intimate and physically show your affection. A lot of times you can learn alot about a person through their intimacy. It would really suck if you waited till marriage and then found out your spouse is a crazy, creepy fettish weirdo or something..... on on the otherside... completely "dead-fish syndrome" and you're in for life.

It's definitely important for a longterm relationship. It is one way to provide intimacy and bonding. Of course it is also just plain fun and a great stress reliever! But if you don't make it a priority the other person may find it somewhere else.

If you are a normal, healthy person, try removing sex from a relationship. You will find out how important it is for you when you start missing it.

sex is important to me. if i don't have a sexual connection with someone then it's going to be extremely difficult to have a relationship with that person. i can't sit here and tell you if sex should be important or not, everyone has their own preference. but as for me, i love the feeling of having orgasm after orgasm with someone i love. that connection is one of the most powerful connections ever.

i think that it is important because in a relationship you wind up needing the closness and the bonding that comes from the intamacy a relationship can go without it but the intamacy that comes from sex is nice
