I don't do caviar as the main ingredient - it's too slimy & creepy for me like that.
But, the sushi place next door has a great roll where they put 3 kinds of caviar on top of the roll as a garnish, and I can't get enough of it. It just adds a little pop to the dish.

I can't afford the very good stuff, but lumpfish caviar you find in the grocery store is good. I like it because of it's saltiness, slight ocean/fish flavor and the texture. Great on lightly buttered toast points eaten with champagne.

I love the fishy taste. The eggs popping with fish flavor when I eat them. I love it. We used to eat caviar on deviled eggs, wheat thins, even soft boiled eggs.

I personally don't like it since its nothing but expensive fish eggs (so NOT worth the price), but other people have developed a taste for it. A few actually like the taste, some just like eating expensive foods for the sake of it, and others have their own reasons.

I don't. I think you have to be part lush. It goes well with champagne.
