As in the USA Mexico has laws against entering illegally the country, people do not get arrested they get detain and send back to their own countries just like here, however they doing a favor must of the people entering illegally to Mexico are coming to the USA so why are you complaining????

What should Mexico do. Allow all immigrants to come it because it doesn't stop its people from leaving?

Do they (the Mexican government) expect the US to welcome illegals with open arm? Or do they simply not care about the US problems since they have they own?

And since when is it up to Mexico to save the US?

I spend most of my time in Mexico. I assure you that indeed Mexican politicians do give speeches denouncing the evil civil rights violations caused by the US arresting and deporting Mexican illegals they catch, and also our refusal to give them driver's licenses, etc. they are talking human rights and civil rights violations!!!!!!!!!!

And, I visit Cordoba, Ver. and have seen Mexican Immigration officials wearing black uniforms and carrying M-16's climb on moving trains, called refugee trains, and detaining and deporting illegals from Guatemala and El Salvador for violating their own immigration laws.

Man I don't know where to begin answering this one. I'll start by saying I think a similar percentage of Americans feel the same way towards illegal immigrants here as well- kind of funny that we have that in common huh? It IS also ironic when "the shoe is on the other foot" and it seems a bit hypocritical doesn't it? For those illegal immigrants coming from Mexico, many have been indoctrinated into falsely believing they are simply and rightfully returning to lands that belong to their country and ancestors by corrupt leaders trying to purge their country of its' most economically and politically desperate people (who would also be the greatest threat to their hold on power)- totally ignoring any current international border, treaty, political reality, etc., etc. that currently exists between Mexico and the USA. Another reason why illegal Mexican (and from other places as well) immigrants expect to be welcomed with open arms by Americans is that, for generations, they HAVE been. Not only have the leaders of both parties taken no real action to enforce borders or immigration control for obvious reasons- both parties are catering to Hispanics/Latinos because of their emergence as a potentially powerful and critical voting bloc and, furthermore, the wealthy/politically powerful elite that lead/control either/both party are the same people that benefit the most from the cheap labor provided my illegal immigrants-but, traditionally, Americans, being the overly fair and compassionate people they are have tried to be very accepting of all immigrants including those that came illegally. Despite having the most liberal/open immigration policy and restrictions of any nation on earth, despite truly wanting to share our country with others and to provide them with economic opportunity and political and social liberty through liberal immigration policy, despite being known as the "Melting Pot" for our acceptance of various religions and cultures- people continue to enter our nation illegally; or could it be because of these things? I think the root of the problem is that, for better or worse, Americans have traditionally done nothing about this problem for various reasons- the American people were ignorant of the economic, political, social, security impacts of illegal immigration and being American they welcomed outsiders with open arms and the leaders of our country welcomed illegals so they could explot them for various reasons at the expense of American citizens, etc. I guess the trouble is now that the American public has woken up to the harmful realities caused by illegal immigration, those who have traditionally been taught that it was perfectly acceptable to illegally immigrate to America (both at the urging of their government and then from the traditional acceptance/exploitation of Americans), are now surprised and confused at the current political reality that illegal immigration is no longer widely accepted, appreciated or tolerated by Americans based on their knowledge of the negative affects it causes them.

you make the assumption that the average mexican citizen encourages illegal immigration to the US and expects the US to accept them with open arms. i'd like to read the article that reports research on what most mexicans think of their citizens immigrating to the US. it may very well be that most mexicans DON'T have such a rosy picture of their fellow mexicans immigrating to the US. i don't know, but it's worth looking into before making any assumptions about what "they" expect.
