First thing is using a good volumizing shampoo... There are quite a few on the market. Afterwords towel dry your hair and use a volumizing mousse ( I use Phytovolume shampoo from Phyto, and the Phytovolume active mousse) Now the real key to having more body at the roots is by blow-drying your hair upside down, believe me this gives great volume!! When its almost dry turn your head up, and you can just straighten the ends of the hair with a round brush, very slightly. Avoid putting on too many products as they will weigh down your hair... If you follow these directions you will get that great healthy and full hair you want! ;) Goof luck!

When your hair is still wet, get some hair gel and scrunch it at the roots and style as you normally would, trying to lift the hair upwards at the roots as you dry, not down like when you brush. If you want to straighten try the CHI flat iron, I live by mine, I have curly hair. You can also try a bodifying shampoo.

the number 1 mistake is not blow drying completely dry with a big round brush. you need to actually pull the hair from the root to ends as you blow it dry, let it cool or use cold shot button (blue button) on the blow dryer once it is completely dry. the ends dry faster than the roots.
root lift or root booster will work, but why spend the money and time (effort) if you don't need to?

use a big barrell curling iron and start at the roots and pull it up and a curve right at the roots (as if you ar bumping your ends exepect at the roots) add hair sheen or a light sprits to the roots.

Try a root lifter. They have them every were now. I get mine at Target. It helps so much. I think Dove carries one now. Also try using Doves' volume balancing shampoo
