Ok this bugs me alot but my friend is dating a much older man and it is alright with alot of people but my other friend is dating a younger women and its not all right.Now why is it alright for a women to date a older man, and its not alright for a man to date a younger women isn't it the same thing.

Simple. Men aren't so "mature" as women are. Now, this doesn't ALWAYS apply. For the most part, tho, it does. Now, I think you meant, that it's not alright for a man to date an older woman. People will say "age ain't nothin but a number". This may be true, but when a couple gets older, this is a problem. The woman is better off being younger than her man. Why? Because men are practically attracted to younger women. It's best not to set yourself up for future failure.

People for some reason care about age difference relative to age. If we assume that both your friends are the same age, then the girl is dating a guy who is merely older than her. But if the boy is dating a younger girl he may be old enough to be her father. (of course it depends on age difference.) There is also the question of the guy taking advantage of the younger girl, while a woman "scores" a mature man.

it is the same. But it depends on the age of the woman to the age ot the man you would not want a 14yrs old girl dating a 18yr of guy for one thing get the picture.

age difference matters to some people coz sometimes its like not socially acceptable because people are thinking well what the hell do you want to be with that person for, like you have an ulteria motive. so like a way older guy is pressumed to be after sex with a young girl. but a way younger girl is pressumed to be a slut after money. the world is twisted isnt it? i mena, if they are two consenting adults,and everyone is getting scr#wed but is happy scr#wing, should it be an issue. u know?

weird...usually is vice versa but, I think age doesn't matter after a certain point (definitly after both parties are consenting adults who know what they are getting their selves into and can make heavy decisions on their own). However, if your friend is 34 and dating a 17 year-old, there is a problem.

Because when u sleep with a old men that is fine. but when a guy sleeps with older women u cannot enjoy after some age. girls cannot njoy sex.

People have stupid prejudices and stereotypes. If both parties are of legal age, then it should be fine to date.

I would say that it is the same thing. As long as both male and female are of legal age.....who cares, who they are dating....its them, not anyone else
